Bitumen

Bitumen is Hydrocarbon material black to dark brown in carbon sulfide and carbon tetrachloride is completely solved. Bitumen at ambient temperature, is solid. But with increasing temperature, the pulp can then be liquefied. Bitumen is used because of two important properties of this material may be impenetrable to the water and adherence.
In some countries, the term (Asphalt) equivalent terms (Bitumen) is being used.

The origin of the bitumen production the three types of bitumen was divided, Natural Bitumen, Coal Tar Pitches, Petroleum Asphalts.

About 90% of the production of bitumen in road construction and 10% is used for insulation purposes.
